Steve Larsen Properties: Giving Back to Central Oregon

We don’t just work in Central Oregon — we live here. Steve Larsen Properties strives to make a positive difference in the future of our great community by actively participating in a number of community and civic organizations, including:

Mount Bachelor Sports Education Foundation (MBSEF) Youth Cycling Program
www.mbsef.org/programs/cycling
MBSEF is a non-profit organization whose guiding philosophy is to encourage academic achievement and promote the positive values of competitive alpine, cross country skiing, snowboarding, and cycling. The Youth Cycling Program extends that same philosophy into the summer season to include mountain biking and road biking. SLP is proud to provide bikes for the Youth Cycling Program.

Oregon Rush Soccer
www.oregonrush.com
Steve Larsen is on the committee to help find additional field space for Oregon Rush Soccer, a program dedicated to providing opportunities to play soccer to all children ages 5-18, regardless of experience, ability and finances.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon
www.bbbsco.org
Since 1994, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon has been empowering our youth to achieve their highest potential through meaningful relationships with caring mentors. Levi Hensel is on the marketing steering committee and, along with SLP, is honored to invest time and energy in the future of Central Oregon.

Kids and Bikes Annual Event
For the past five years, Michael Nyberg has organized the Kids and Bikes Event through Compassion Ministries. The program takes used and outgrown bikes, and repairs and refurbishes them so that they can be distributed to children who might not otherwise be able to afford a new bike. Last year, the program distributed over 80 bikes to children in Central Oregon.

XC Oregon: Nordic Ski Team
www.xcoregon.org

XC Oregon offers a unique opportunity for America’s most promising post-high school skiers to work toward their dreams in national/international XC skiing. A 501(c) 3 non-profit, the program is built around a realistic, cost-effective and long-term approach with proven success in developing athletic and personal excellence. Levi Hensel is a team athlete and is involved in the fundraising and marketing efforts.
